Salary: FTE £28,052 - £30,517

Working Hours:  Term Time Only

32.5  hours per week - £20,794 - £22,622 pa Mon - Fri

Full time (32.5 hours) and Part-time roles available

West Heath School is on an exciting journey to become a registered therapeutic community. We are looking for a flexible, committed Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated staff team, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

In this rewarding but challenging role, you’ll:

·        improve students’ academic outcomes and promote their social, emotional and mental health needs

·        work one-to-one or in groups with students

·        adapt and create resources

·        act as a mentor and an onsite presence in the school

A Teaching Assistant at West Heath School will be flexible and adaptable and strive for all students to enjoy their lessons and develop life skills that they can use both in and outside of the classroom. 

Every member of staff plays a significant part in the students’ ability to achieve their full potential and positive outcomes whilst at West Heath School. To do this we need to work collaboratively and always as a team, which is essential to the students’ success and achievement.  We are particularly looking for Teaching Assistants who have an interest in any of the these subjects:

• ·        Maths
• ·        English
• ·        Science
• ·        Primary School support

 An understanding of SEMH is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
