Here at West Heath we make use of an online learning tool – Satchel:One (formally Show My Homework) – to help you keep track of your child’s learning. It allows you to see the details of tasks your child has been set including, where appropriate, details around task completion, due dates and grades.
Satchel:One is an invaluable tool in supporting students catch up on work that they may have missed in class, to keep up with their learning if, for whatever reason, they are unable to be in school, or perhaps to review and revise what’s been learned. It allows for effective communication between students and their teachers giving the opportunity for two-way feedback between teacher and student on completed work, or even to request some additional help.
The system also helps maintain communication between teachers and you, the parents. Parents are able to set up a personal account, using a code supplied by the School, which is linked to your child’s learning calendar. It provides all the information, tools and support to allow you to get involved and support your child’s learning. Click here for your Team Satchel Parent Welcome Pack to help you to navigate around and get the most out of the system.
To keep up to date on the move, you can download the Satchel:One app which you can use once you have your login details. You will then be sent notifications to let you know if and when home learning is due. You will also be informed of grades and any overdue tasks, as well as receiving information relating to other events or school announcements.
Satchel also produce useful Student and Parent video guides.
