Year 11 Exam Season – Revision Timetable 2016
I am writing to wish your child the very best of luck in their pending exams. This time of year is always stressful for Year 11 students and their families and I hope it passes without issue or too much worry.
Boarding students will stay in school through the exam period; providing they comply with the programme they are offered. Day students will be in school on days which they have exams and will also be given the opportunity to attend extra revision sessions, generally the day before an exam.
Students will be welcome back to attend school on these additional days providing they make full and effective use of the support available for the purposes of revision.
Details of the Study Leave Timetable are available on the school website. Tutors will contact you informing you of the days your child is expected in school.
If students need to get their normal taxi into school, parents/guardians must contact the taxi company and arrange the relevant days that your child needs to be in school. The taxi will pick them up at the usual time in the morning and collect them at the end of the day at 3.30pm. Alternatively, students can make their own arrangements to leave site after their exam. Should students decide to leave site earlier in the day, parents/guardians must arrange transport independently. All students must sign in and out.
Once students have completed all of their exams they will engage in home study in preparation for moving forward.
As Mr Oldham mentioned in his previous letter, and I have mentioned above, students will be coming in for revision sessions the day before an exam only. Students who do not make the most of their time in the revision sessions will not be permitted to attend any further sessions.
My very best wishes for the exam season.
